All through the month of February come hang out at the Chester County LC for our “Socialism and Black History”. The purpose of this series is to create a space where Community members can gather to learn, grow, and build community. Typical Black History often shies away from the role socialism plays in the Black Radical Tradition. In reality the Black Radical Tradition is a retelling and a case study on socialist organizing.Each week we will be highlighting a person or piece of black history that is directly tied to our socialist organizing roots. By unpacking and delving deeper into the practices our revolutionary ancestors utilized in their fight for liberation we can better understand our history and better understand the lessons we have yet to uncover from it.
