This film documents the life of a Palestinian surviving in the small mountainous village of Masafer Yatta in the West Bank, Basel, and Yuval, an Israeli journalist wanting to assist Basel in his struggle. The Barbarity of the IDF and the settlers is shown clearly in this documentary.
Hamdan Balal, the Palestinian co director of this film, was attacked and captured by Israeli settlers shortly after receiving the Oscar for best documentary. They did not kill him, he sustained minor injuries. Settler attacks are what some Palestinians have lived through their entire lives because of Israel’s exterminationist expansionism.
You likely won’t see this at any mainstream theaters, you can imagine the reasons. Free Palestine.
