On July 10th, Federal agents including ICE raided a farm in Ventura County, California. This cruel raid on working farmers led Jaime Alanís García to flee for his safety and he tragically fell from a greenhouse roof and was critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries on July 12th.
ICE, the National Guard, local police, and US Marshalls are responsible for the death of Jaime Alanís García. His death is the result of the Trump Administration’s racist mass deportation policy. ICE, directed by the Trump Administration, has detained tens of thousands of immigrants in 2025 alone and disrupted the lives of many more working people and families.
Migration is a natural part of human existence and immigrants from the Global South have sought to come to the US to escape violence, poor economic conditions, and instability caused by the US empire’s violent foreign policy. We in West Chester stand in defence of immigrants and definitively state that No One is Illegal!
